Briefly Speaking, We’re the Best
Our school Silver N Springs conducted a project day on 22nd November based on the theme "SAVE THE EARTH"
Earth and it resources make life possible on it. We cannot imagine our lives without these resources, as life cannot function without sun, air, vegetation, and water. However, this is soon going to be our reality if we do not save the earth now.
To say that saving the earth is the need of the hour would be an understatement. All the activities of humans driven by greed and selfishness have caused immense damage to the earth. It has degraded it beyond repair. Almost all the natural resources are now polluted due to these activities. So our students explained the importance of saving our Mother Earth through their projects.
Mr. Murugan retired IAS officer was the Chief Guest for our project day. He was very glad to see the kids with their projects.. models and speech with full enthusiasm and appreciated them for their good effort and for conveying a valuable message to everyone through their Projects.
Our project day was open to Every parent and individual. They applauded our students for their marvelous efforts and for conveying the right message at the right time.
The kindergarten students explained about keeping our environment clean and green by displaying placards and decorating their classroom walls with awareness messages. The tiny tots conveyed the message "GO GREEN"
The students of Classes 1 and 2 displayed various models, placards and slogans about Save water, uses of water, water resources, waste water treatment, how to save water at home and school etc. They conveyed the message "SAVE WATER SAVE LIFE"
The students of classes 3 4 and 5 emphasised on the Ban of plastics. They displayed various models, charts and placards to explain the hazards caused due to plastics to humans, nature, animals and birds. They also explained with models and charts as how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle plastic waste "The 3 R 's" The highlight of their theme was a huge model of a healthy ocean in comparison with currently plastic polluted Pacific ocean. Students created awareness to save marine life too through their speech and model. Students also displayed 100 plus decorative items made by them from waste plastic bottles, cds, toothbrush, spoons plates etc. Their planters in waste plastic bottles emphasized us to grow more plants.
Hence through our project day students of Silver N Springs conveyed that Earth is the only planet which can sustain life on it. We do not have a planet B which we can move onto. This makes it all the more serious to save the earth and save our lives. If we do not take strict actions now, we will lose the chance of seeing our future generations flourish forever. Everyone must come together for the same cause, as we are inhabitants of this planet firstly and then anything else.
